Mijente is joining the fight in Texas

On March 1st, Latinos will have a chance to vote in the primary and elect candidates committed to build a Texas where working people, immigrants, and all of our families can access el buenvivir.

We’re proud to endorse Jessica Cisneros TX-28,  Greg Casar TX-35, and Bob Libal for Travis County Commission, Precinct 2.

Greg Casar for Congress in Texas’ 35th District

Casar is a labor organizer turned current Austin City Council member who has championed raising minimum wages and civil rights legislation. He wants to deliver good jobs, Medicare for All, and a working power grid.

Jessica Cisneros for Congress in Texas’ 28th District

Cisneros is a human rights lawyer challenging one of Congress’ most conservative Democrats. She is committed to Medicare for All, a green Texas, and tireless advocacy for Latinx immigrant communities.

Bob Libal for Travis County Commission (Precinct 2, Austin)

Libal is a recognized civil rights leader and community organizer who will prioritize alternatives to incarceration, increasing investments in mental health and substance treatment facilities and job programs, and affordable housing.

Join us on the doors to get out the early vote for the primary!

The opposition is banking on low Latino voter turnout and voter suppression to keep the status quo. We’re joining our compas in Texas to let them know that they shouldn’t get too comfortable.
